State Tax Collection Drops Dramatically

Here is the percent change in tax collection (each point is an average of the previous 4 quarters).While local taxes (red) have decreased it has been state taxes (blue) that have taken a big hit  since 2008

    I don’t look at these graphs very often, but if this is truly showing “percent change,” then Local taxes have been increasing, although the rate of increase has dropped to near-zero.

    Sorry to nit-pick.
